Aleeya Roberts

Lu Vason Founders Scholarship

Aleeyah Roberts is a sophomore at Pike Peaks Community College majoring in Biology, with the ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian and taking care of animals. She is a member of the National Barrel Horse Association, Better Barrel Racers Association and the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo.

This year the Bill Pickett Memorial Scholarship Fund is awarding 2 Sedgwick Haynes Memorial Calf Roping/Ladies Break Away Fee Grants.

Jarvis Demery

Jarvis Demery, who is a calf roper with the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo and who has won many championships. He has his setting his sights on becoming a World Calf Roping Champion

Denesha Henderson

Lu Vason Founders Scholarship

Denesha is a student at Prairie View A&M University majoring in Business Administration, with the desire to own her own business and help others to become successful business owners. Denesha has participated in the Bill Pickett Invitation since 1995 and is assisting with starting a mentoring program with BPIR.

Kortnee Solomon

This year the Bill Pickett Memorial Scholarship Fund is awarding 2 Sedgwick Haynes Memorial Calf Roping/Ladies Break Away Fee Grants.

Kortnee Solomon, who is a 4th Generation Cowgirl that does many things such as Ladies breakaway, Ladies Barrel Racing, poles, straights, and goat tying. She is a little cowgirl that has won many championships and has huge aspirations for the future.
