Rodeo For Kidz Sake
The “Cowboy mystique” has a strong influence in all our lives, beginning with childhood and continuing throughout adulthood. The Rodeo for Kidz Sake (RFKS) is an exciting entertaining and educational opportunity for students to learn, experience the mystiques of the rodeo and be introduced to Black Cowboys/Cowgirls. This experience is something that many students do not know about or have seen.
This rodeo highlights the many unique historical contributions Black Cowboys/Cowgirls have made to the American West and their individual contributions that pioneered the sport of rodeo.
Our Rodeo for Kidz Sake program provides opportunities for inner-city kids to experience something new, be introduced and exposed to animals, meet Black Cowboys/Cowgirls and learn Western history. It is a life changing experience for many.
Currently, RFKS rodeos are held in: Denver, Colorado; Memphis, Tennessee and Washington DC/Maryland.
